What is Make Music Day PDX?
Make Music Day PDX is an event for people who love music and the joyous sense of community it fosters. It celebrates music of all genres played by and enjoyed by people of all stripes. We join others around the world who have developed similar celebrations growing out of the Fete de la Musique, which originated in France in 1982.
Make Music Day PDX is a call to participation, focused on serving both audience and musicians. We invite musicians, amateur as well as professional, to share their music on one day in June every year. We invite everyone to show up and enjoy the music!
The next Make Music Day PDX will be held late in on June 2021, at locations all around Portland. It is free and open to everyone!
